In this section we will try to clarify
the many misconceptions surrounding the various dining options available
onboard a Holland America cruise whether bound for Alaska or some other
exotic cruise destination.
Defining the dining options on a Holland America Cruise.

Assigned Dining; The traditional style of dining where your table
and time are preset prior to the cruise. There are two seating's
for dinner, the first begins at approximately 6:15 pm, and second is
at approximately 8:15 pm. With assigned dining your tablemate's will
be the same for the entire cruise as will be your wait staff.
Open Dining; The result of the more casual marketplace, open
dining in the main dining room allows for only one of two options, making
a dinner reservation for each day of your cruise or walking up and taking
the next available seats.
Lido Restaurant; A made to order style of buffet dining that
is available daily as a smart casual option to the formal dining in the
main restaurant.
Burgers, Tacos, Pizza and More; Also available on the lido deck
you can opt for the informal dining option of burgers and fries around
the main pool or pizza and a drink on the aft deck. This is a popular
choice among the kids and many of the families on board.
Optional Dining
The Pinnacle
Grill; For a modest
charge, you can choose to dine in this formal restaurant that features
fine dining in an intimate setting. This Pinnacle Grill is extremely popular,
so reserve early to insure your desired seating! |
